Starting in August, 2018, Rowland will offer a Mandarin Dual Language Immersion program, where students will learn Chinese, along with English, starting in Kindergarten. It will be hosted at Shelyn Elementary.
The new Mandarin Dual Language Immersion program would offer Kindergarten students a 50/50 English and Mandarin instructional model, where English speakers and Mandarin speakers would learn to read, speak and write in English and Mandarin.
